CGI Acquires Software Consultancy CKC

Canadian IT services company CGI has acquired German software consultancy CKC. Based in the Northern part of Germany, CKC has a staff of 300 and is focused on the automotive industry. The consultancy helps its clients with a range of software and consulting services, including agile software development, customer experience, mobility, IT modernization, IT information security and testing. The firm’s portfolio also includes a range of complementary services, such as project management, change management and digital-led innovation. The acquisition is intended to bolster CGI’s digital offering amid a spike in demand for digital transformation services, driven by emerging technologies such as big data, the internet of thing and robotic process automation, among others. “IT modernisation and digital transformation are high on the agenda for our clients,” said Strass. “Together with CKC, we will help our clients further develop and implement their corporate digital strategies.”
