Infosys Makes Key Hires in Intelligence and Automation

Infosys has hired John Gikopoulos to lead its Intelligence and Automation practice, the company has announced. Gikopoulos joins the business’ consultation unit after a period at IPSoft, where he led the creation of a European Cognition division. As the company bets on the two technologies to drive its new business development, Gikopoulos constitutes a rare and key outside hire. According to Economic Times, he will work directly with clients to create their intelligence and automation plans. Infosys’ current CEO,  Salil Parekh, has stated his belief that the company’s existing leadership is strong and he will rely on outside hires less than his predecessor. However, Gikopoulos’ experience in European markets will be valuable as Infosys turn to Europe to find new business growth. “We see a lot of growth in some European countries like Germany and [the Nordics], so we want to build an organisational structure that supports that sort of goal,” Parekh stated for ET Infosys also appointed Hasit Trivedi as global head of AI and automation service delivery. He will be responsible for building up the service offering around automation and AI space.
