Delegates at the QA Financial Forum London on September 13th heard expert speakers from a range of financial firms. But one of the most highly-rated presentations was by James Trunk, VP of engineering at Griffin, the banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform that gained a UK banking licence earlier this year.
James explained why Griffin chose not to take the standard route on software QA and testing, and how its engineering and product teams are instead organised around the two parallel concepts of “discovery” and “delivery”. It’s a post-Agile “Shape Up” methodology and delegates heard how Griffin has adjusted its product delivery process to create time for product polish, tool sharpening and customer support and how it employs automated testing to achieve continuous delivery.
The key takeaway: keep sharpening your Agile “wood-axe” to cut away unnecessary processes and save time.
