Cybersecurity provider Secureworks will team up with other security solution specialists to apply its Red Cloak behavioural analytics to their environments. Red Cloak was originally developed in 2010 and has since been deployed in thousands of response and hunting engagements. The company also applies the analytics solution as part of its managed detection and response offerings. Now it is offering the tool to competitors, in hopes that decoupling its proprietary analytics offering from its endpoint agent will boost its profile in the market and offer more choice to clients. The company believes that such partnerships will result in improved visibility of threat actor activity for clients and provide better context for validating and remediating threats. “The Red Cloak Partner program enables Secureworks to apply its intelligence and threat hunting capabilities to the client’s choice of best-in-breed security tools,” said Michael Cote, President and CEO of Secureworks. Secureworks is currently researching prospective partners.
