The company said the centre will focus on AI-led Quality Engineering, AI Assurance, Digital Engineering and Enterprise Technology, reflecting growing demand from organisations seeking to validate increasingly complex AI-enabled applications.

Maveric targets banking space
Maveric Systems has launched PULSEAI, a continuous quality intelligence platform designed specifically for financial institutions adopting AI-assisted software delivery.
The platform combines requirements analysis, test generation, regression planning, execution and reporting to help banks improve software quality while meeting increasing governance and resilience requirements.
Maveric says the platform embeds quality throughout the software development lifecycle while helping organisations prioritise testing according to business risk rather than simply executing large regression suites.
As banks accelerate AI adoption, platforms that combine testing, governance and quality intelligence are becoming increasingly important for demonstrating software assurance and regulatory compliance.
Accenture and Carnegie Mellon team up

Accenture and the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI) have launched an AI Adoption Maturity Model designed to help organisations move beyond AI experimentation towards repeatable, governed deployments.
The framework enables organisations to test, monitor and assess AI capabilities across eight dimensions of organisational readiness while identifying gaps in engineering practices, governance and operational maturity.
Accenture said many existing AI maturity models focus on strategy rather than the engineering discipline needed to deploy AI reliably at scale. The framework has been validated through pilots with Fortune 500 organisations and is intended to provide a practical roadmap for responsible AI adoption.
For software quality teams, the emphasis on engineering discipline rather than AI experimentation reinforces the growing importance of robust testing, governance and evidence generation as organisations scale AI into production.
Momentic rolls out solution update
AI-powered testing firm Momentic has rolled out a major update to its platform designed to help engineering teams verify software built by AI coding assistants and autonomous development agents.
The company says the new release addresses one of the biggest challenges emerging from AI-assisted software development: while coding agents dramatically increase software output, they also multiply the amount of code that needs to be tested before deployment.
Momentic argues that as AI-generated code becomes commonplace, quality assurance is increasingly becoming the bottleneck rather than software development itself.
Chief executive Wei-Wei Wu said the rapid adoption of tools such as Cursor, Claude and Codex means engineering teams need far faster ways of validating software quality. He warned that “AI slop” is becoming increasingly common as organisations rush AI-generated code into production without sufficient verification.

Applause helps Progress cut accessibility issues
Applause says its long-running accessibility partnership with Progress Software has helped reduce accessibility issues within the ShareFile collaboration platform by more than 60% year-on-year.
Since 2023, Applause has supported Progress through accessibility testing with assistive technology users, AI-powered code analysis, design reviews, empathy sessions and continuous testing integrated directly into the company’s engineering workflows.
The programme also provides Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs), helping Progress demonstrate accessibility compliance to enterprise customers while integrating accessibility validation directly into Jira-based development processes.
The announcement highlights the growing role of accessibility testing within software quality engineering, particularly as financial institutions face increasing regulatory expectations around digital inclusion while adopting AI-assisted software development.
Harness zooms in on verification
Harness believes software delivery is entering a new phase in which AI-generated code makes verification more important than software creation itself.

Writing on the company’s engineering blog, Harness CEO Jyoti Bansal argues that organisations should think in terms of “harness engineering”, where automated verification, evaluation and deployment become the operating system governing AI software delivery.
Rather than focusing solely on generating code, the company says enterprises must continuously validate AI outputs through automated testing, policy enforcement and deployment controls before software reaches production.
For banks experimenting with agentic software engineering, the message closely mirrors an emerging industry trend: AI may dramatically accelerate coding, but software quality increasingly depends on automated validation and trustworthy evidence.
Researchers push quantum software testing
Researchers from Beihang University and Kyushu University have introduced Qolumbina, a new benchmark designed to improve research into quantum software testing.
Unlike many existing benchmarks, Qolumbina includes 40 scalable quantum programs curated from open-source repositories together with specifications, unit tests, buggy program variants and standardised interfaces that allow researchers to compare different quantum software testing approaches.
The researchers say the benchmark enables more realistic evaluation of execution costs, fault detection and scalability while also highlighting how different quantum hardware platforms influence testing outcomes.
Although practical quantum computing remains some way from mainstream financial services, the project illustrates how software testing methodologies continue evolving alongside emerging computing technologies.
Keysight targets UI automation maintenance
Keysight Technologies has introduced an AI-powered enhancement to its Eggplant testing platform designed to reduce one of the biggest costs associated with UI automation: maintaining fragile test scripts.

The new Find by Description capability allows engineers to identify interface elements using natural language rather than screenshots or traditional selectors, enabling automated tests to remain stable despite cosmetic application changes.
According to Keysight, the technology dramatically reduces the effort required to maintain automated regression suites while allowing teams to build more resilient browser-based tests.
For financial institutions maintaining thousands of automated tests across digital banking platforms, reducing maintenance effort without sacrificing reliability remains a key objective as release cycles continue to accelerate.
