Quality engineering leaders in financial services must innovate at speed without compromising on IT risk.

That is the general consensus within the industry, particularly since new standards of enterprise observability are increasingly essential to prepare for new regulations, such as the EU Digital Operations Resilience Act (DORA), which will come into force in January of next year.

Moreover, key players in the industry agree change and innovation are essential in retaining a competitive edge. To power this discussion, a range of industry insider plan to go over these topics next week.

During a 45-minute online seminar on March 13, hosted by QA Financial’s founder and CEO, Matthew Crabbe, executives from OpenText and Lloyds Banking Group will scrutinise key opportunities to leverage AI to embed quality in every stage of software delivery.

Among these issues are automated visual functional testing, risk-based quality management, enterprise observability with GenAI and next-level pipeline failure analysis.

Insights

Richard Bishop, lead quality engineer at Lloyds Banking Group, and Carlos Gutiérrez, product leader for the DevOps Cloud platform at OpenText, will join the discussion.

They will debate how financial firms are planning to use AI and low-code tools to automate software tests, starting by converting data and LLMs into software requirements. They will also look at the example of how that works by summarising complex documents and datasets.

Moreover, during the webinar, OpenText will be demonstrating exactly how visual testing works across customer-facing mobile and multi-browser applications.

Finally, the speakers are also expected to discuss the compliance and regulatory issues that will shape the adoption of AI for DevOps.

This means first of all assessing the impact of DORA. How will DORA impact the adoption of AI tools? And how can banks adopt AI without creating new risk vulnerabilities; such as access points for external AI-driven platforms?

After the discussion, there will be plenty of time for questions and insights. If you’d like to join on March 13 at 11am GMT, register for the webinar here.
