On 22nd July 2019, State Bank of India’s (SBI) corporate website and digital banking platform were out of action until mid-afternoon, according to The Hindu Business Line.  Customers of SBI’s internet banking service and YONO banking app – which sees around 25,000 accounts opened every day – were unable to log in. Visitors to the bank’s website were met with the message: “The requested service is temporarily unavailable. It is either overloaded or under maintenance. Please try later.”  A source from SBI told The Hindu Business Line that the website undergoes weekend debugging and the problems could have been caused by this process taking longer than expected.
